"To Be a Journalist in Sudan"... A Seminar for Sudanese journalists at home and abroad

AJMI - Doha

Al Jazeera Media Institute is organizing a remote seminar titled: To be a journalist in Sudan, targeting all Sudanese female and male journalists inside and outside the country, in addition to those interested in joining this discussion.

The seminar will take place on twenty-third of next December at six p.m. Doha time, led by a select group of Sudanese journalists including: Noon Al-Barmaki, an independent Sudanese journalist; Al-Tahir Al-Mardi, Al Jazeera’s correspondent in Sudan; Mohammed Saeed Halfawi, a Sudanese journalist; and Ashwaq Saif Al-Din, a Sudanese journalist working for TRT Arabic. The seminar will be moderated by journalist Tasneem Dahab from AJ+ Arabic.

This initiative comes within the framework of Al Jazeera Media Institute’s commitment to supporting Sudanese journalists and standing with them amid harsh challenges facing journalistic work inside and outside Sudan, as well as providing a podium for dialogue and exchange of experiences on professional practices, ethics, and ways to strengthen the role of media in conveying facts and safeguarding press freedom.
