The participants were trained by three experts from Al Jazeera Media Institute for nine training hours, where the expert Othman Kabbashi trained trainees on standards and caveats (do and don’t) in journalistic coverage during times of war and conflicts. Then Jabr Jumaa led them through rules of news verification and how to avoid disinformation in news coverage during times of war. And finally, expert Ibrahim Saber Al-Deek briefed them on the required security rules and safety regulations for journalists to avoid expected risks in conflict zones.
