AJMI holds a seminar on war coverage

A digital seminar held by the Al Jazeera Media Institute under the title “War Coverage: Field experiences” explored challenges of reporting from conflict zones, drawing on experiences of journalists working in Gaza and Sudan. The session featured Rami Abu Taima, Al Jazeera correspondent in Gaza Strip, alongside Gaza-based journalist Mohammed Abu Qamar and the Sudanese correspondent Mohammed Mirghani.

In April 2026, Al Jazeera Media Institute is going to launch a package of remote training courses aimed at enhancing skills of journalists, media professionals, and content creators in digital writing, leadership, marketing, corporate communication, and use of artificial intelligence in newsrooms. These programs are part of the ongoing efforts of the Institute to provide specialized media training in both Arabic and English through flexible formats that keep pace with rapidly evolving digital environment and meeting needs of modern newsrooms and multi‑ publishing platforms.

Al Jazeera Media Institute organizes a webinar on Zoom under the title "Covering wars, field experiments" on Thursday, March 12/2026 at two o'clock in the afternoon Doha time, with the participation of a number of field correspondents. The symposium follows the current global events in a number of conflict zones around the world, and professional and ethical challenges they pose on journalistic reporting.
