AJMI - Al Wakra

Al Jazeera Media Institute held a training workshop under the title "Media Basics” for young People", in cooperation with Qatar Academy – Al Wakra branch, on Sunday, March 16, for 85 students of fourth grade.
Trainer Raghda Jamal pointed out that students were introduced to various print, audio and visual media, in addition to understanding theoretical framework of emergence and development of media. She stressed that the importance of the workshop lies in the harmony of workshop topics and the research unit that students are currently studying on media, which makes it necessary to give them an required opportunity to understand basics of media work from a practical perspective and not only theoretically.
 
This workshop was held as part of the "Al Jazeera Ambassadors" initiative, which aims to spread media awareness among young generations in order to enhance their communication skills and to understand the role of media in the society.
