AJMI RELEASES PERSIAN TRANSLATION OF 'JOURNALISM ETHICS IN THE DIGITAL AGE'

AJMI - Doha

The Al Jazeera Media Institute has released the Persian translation of the guide "Journalism Ethics in the Digital Age" as part of its collection of foreign language publications. This professional guide aims to illuminate the core ethical guidelines that journalists must adhere to in the digital work environment.

The institute's focus on providing these publications in multiple languages is in line with its commitment to disseminating knowledge and professional principles within the journalistic community. It recognizes the shared professional challenges faced by journalists, particularly considering the growing influence of social media platforms and their deepening role in the dissemination of the media message and its reach to the public. This has resulted in various challenges and considerations, alongside the opportunities it has presented.

It is worth noting that the Arabic version of the guide was prepared by colleagues Mohammed Khmaisah and Younes Maskin. It is divided into seven comprehensive chapters, designed to provoke discussion within media institutions and among journalists regarding the emerging ethical dilemmas in the digital journalism landscape. It delves into their levels, effects, and approaches to dealing with them, all within the framework of the prevailing professional principles widely embraced by the journalistic community.
