AJMI SIGNS AN MOU WITH KAZAKHSTAN’S TV & RADIO

The Al Jazeera Media Institute (AJMI) and the TV & Radio Complex of Kazakhstan signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Wednesday, February 14.

Both parties will collaborate on several joint projects, including "A Week with Al Jazeera," offering a one-week training for over 100 students of the International School of Journalism of Maqsut Narikbayev University in Astana.

Furthermore, the MoU entails collaboration on joint project, and translating select AJMI's publications and guides into Kazakh.

Raushan Kazhibayeva, Director General of the Kazakhstani Television and Radio Complex, emphasized the significance of AJMI's training courses, affirming the delegation's anticipation of benefiting from these programs to develop Kazakhstan's media sector.

Montaser Marai, AJMI's Manager of Media Initiatives, highlighted the institute's role in media industry development, fostering young media professionals' skills, and empowering journalists and media personnel.

"We emphasize the importance of exchanging experiences and ideas between different countries in the field of media," Marai added.

Following the signing, the Kazakhstani delegation toured AJMI's studios and training halls, gaining insight into the advanced technologies utilized. They also visited the newsroom of Al Jazeera English Channel.
