Digital Media Diploma Activities Continue its programs for the fourth week at the Institute

Activities of Digital Media Diploma, which started on August 2nd. in Credibility Hall at Al Jazeera Media Institute, continue its fourth week with 14 trainees, under the supervision of a group of experts and trainers specialized in different fields such as: Marketing, strategic planning and digital media.
Ahmed Ashour, a trainer of social media journalism course in diploma program, stressed that success in digital media starts by understanding audience and writing content of real value, and then linking it to trending topics in a way that ensures news quality and credibility of information.
Ashoor, Director of Digital Initiatives at Al Jazeera Media Network, added that during the program, participants learned about modern digital environment and its editorial and strategic tools, in addition to acquiring skills of dealing with digital content, interacting with public and analyzing performance of publications. He also stressed importance of practical experience and real publication on digital platforms along with continuous follow-up and performance analysis.
Diploma participants expressed their appreciation for the professional knowledge of Trainer Ahmed Ashour and his rich experience, pointing to his scientific integrity and honesty in transferring knowledge and praising his ability to empower participants on both theoretical and practical aspects. They also praised his excellence in keeping pace with the latest professional developments in digital field, in addition to providing useful and enjoyable practical applications and exercises that contributed to enhancing training experiment.
Journalist Hassan Khodari, trainer of Media Verification and Monitoring course, explained that the program focused on developing skills of participants on verifying news and information through digital platforms, in addition to training them on how to use tools of open source (OSINT) and digital analysis techniques. The course focused on mechanisms for verifying sources, tracking publications and detecting fake news, in addition to studying real-life examples to enhance practical understanding.
Hassan Khodari, Editorial Supervisor at Sanad News Monitoring and Verification Agency, expressed his satisfaction with the interaction of trainees, describing it as lively and distinctive, although participants were tired after a long busy day, noting that advanced training and modern technologies enhanced their interest to learn and exchange experiences between them. This was evident through practical questions and real-life examples, which added great knowledge value to the classroom discussions and enhanced training experiment in general.
In the same context, participants expressed their appreciation for training content and materials, which constituted a good entry point to understanding basics of verification in media work, and praised the positive atmosphere and expansion of perceptions, while stressing importance enriching and deepening diploma program content and updating tools to keep pace with the best professional practices.
It is noteworthy that the diploma has so far completed eight courses out of eleven programs planned for the diploma, trained by Ahmed Sabri, Makram Kalash, Yahya Saleem, and Ibrahim Arab, and covered various topics such as: Introduction to digital media, content editing and digital storytelling, content production using artificial intelligence tools, in addition to digital marketing, search engines and crisis management on digital platforms.
