Al Jazeera Media Institute participates in the International Day of Education

Al Jazeera Media Institute participated in a panel discussion organized by Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the State of Qatar, in celebration of the International Day of Education, which falls on January 24 under the slogan; "Education is everyone's responsibility".
Mr. Montaser Marei, Director of media initiatives at the Institute, spoke in a session addressing the issue of "Investing in Education and Maintaining Manpower in the World of Artificial Intelligence and Automation" and shed light on initiatives of Al Jazeera Media Institute  in this context and its role in supporting education, enriching content, in addition to supporting independent initiatives that empower youth to anticipate the future, achieve sustainability, awareness of artificial intelligence ethics and the impact of technology on education development and dissemination of continuing education opportunities.
Mr. Montaser explained that rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies poses special challenges in Arab space, pointing out that the most prominent of these challenges is the weakness of digital Arabic content, which showed a considerable decline at the quantitative level compared to previous years.
He added that the volume of Arabic content is currently estimated at less than 0.5 percent of total global digital content, which reflects the impact of the significant content growth in other languages compared to our digital position. Marei also stressed the importance of artificial intelligence in improving learning and teaching processes in a way that serves all parties of educational process, including students, professors and institutions.
With regard to improving learning quality, Montaser indicated that artificial intelligence can accurately measure students' educational gaps and provide customized training that suits their needs, pointing out that these technologies contribute to developing innovative assessment strategies that accelerate academic performance and provide continuous feedback, stressing  that artificial intelligence technologies provide "adaptive education" strategies that modify school subjects according to students' different aptitudes , which helps students achieve better performance.
