Al Jazeera Media Institute is pleased to announce that it has joined the Global Media Development Forum, the largest global gathering on media development and press freedom. 
The forum brings together more than 200 organizations and dozens of partners supporting independent media. The Institute hopes that its presence among these organizations will contribute to enhance cooperation and coordination efforts to support Arab and international media environment.
This joining represents a new step towards strengthening networking and cooperation with institutions of common vision, which believe in the role of media and professional journalism in serving and developing societies, as joint efforts contribute to achieving goals more quickly and effectively and moreover, enhancing sustainability of media activities and initiatives.
