عقوبة الأمومة

في آواخر العام 2018، نشرت جوليانا غولدمان وهي صحافية تقيم في واشنطن وعملت في الإعلام المرئي والمقروء لمدة 15 عاما، مقالاً تحدثت فيه عما تعانيه الأمهات الصحافيات العاملات في وسائل الإعلام الأميركية.

في مقالها، تؤكد جوليانا أن جميع النساء اللواتي تحدثت إليهن أكدن بأنهن بمجرد أن يصبحن أمهات، يصبحن صحافيات وراويات قصص أفضل لأنهن اقتربن من مهامهن بمزيد من التعاطف وبمنظور جديد، وهو ما أكدته هديل اليماني مراسلة قناة الجزيرة الإخبارية التي قالت إن نظرتها تغيرت بشكل محوري.

تضيف هديل: لأنني امرأة، كنت أعلم الصعوبات التي تواجهها الأمهات، لكني لم أتوقع أن أواجه المشاعر التي قد أعيشها أثناء تغطية القصص الإنسانية مثل قصص أطفال المخيمات على سبيل المثال لا الحصر". تواصل: "هناك كنت أشعر أن كل طفل منهم هو طفلي، وكنت حين أسمع صوت سعال أحدهم وأرى والدته قليلة الحيلة، لم أكن استطيع أن أنام في الليل، وأعتقد أن مثل هذه التجربة ستؤثر كثيراً في تربيتي لأطفالي، بل لربما تصنع مني أم صارمة فقد قررت أن لا أوفر لأطفالي كل الرفاهيات ليستطيعوا الإحساس بالآخرين".

الاقتراب من المهام بمزيد من التعاطف نقطة أكدت عليها أيضا أمل علي، وهي تعمل كمذيعة للأخبار، قائلة: "إن الأمومة ضاعفت من انحيازي للقضايا الإنسانية والضحايا كما ضاعفت من إحساسي بها فأصبحت أرى كل طفل ضحية لهذه الحروب أنه ابني وكل أم وكل امرأة تعاني وكأنها أنا".

 

خسارة عاطفية

ضمن حديثها على منصة مؤتمر "تيدكس للمرأة" العام 2012، تحدثت الصحافية والمراسلة العسكرية الأميركية جانين دي جيوفاني، عن إجبار مديرها لها بالذهاب لتغطية سقوط بغداد وترك وليدها ذو الأربعة أشهر. تحكي جانين: "أتذكر لحظات صعودي للطائرة والدموع في عيني، بسبب فراقي لابني لوكا. وبينما كنت هناك، قال لي صديق عراقي وسياسي مشهور: "ماذا تفعلين هنا؟! لماذا لم تبقي في بيتك مع لوكا؟" فقلت له: "حسناً.. يجب أن أرى".. كان ذلك في عام 2004 وهو العام الذي كان بداية للمرحلة الأكثر الدموية في العراق، فقلت: يجب أن أرى ما الذي يجري هنا. يجب أن أقوم بعمل تقرير عنه". فرد علي: "اذهبي لابنك، لأنك إن لم تكوني موجودة عند ظهور أول أسنانه، إن فاتتكِ أولى خطواته، فإنك لن تسامحي نفسك أبداً، ستكون هناك دائما حرب أخرى".

عن الخسارة العاطفية التي تتعرض لها الصحافيات الأمهات تحكي أمل، "توقفت عن العمل فترة زمنية لازمت ابني خلالها تماماً، فكان أول تحدي واجهته أثناء عودتي للعمل هو انفصالي عنه لساعات طويلة يذهب فيها للحضانة بسنه الصغيرة تلك". وتضيف: "خلال الشهر الأول لعودتي كنت أعود من العمل احتضنه وأبكي مع شعور طاغي بتأنيب ضمير مختلط بمشاعر سلبية جعلتني ألجأ لدكتور نفسي لمساعدتي".

وربما هذه الجوانب الإيجابية تبرر ما ذكره تقرير عن وضع الأمهات الأميركيات والأمومة صادر عن مركز "بيو" للأبحاث، يذكر فيه أنه في العام 2016، أمضت الأمهات حوالي 25 ساعة أسبوعيًا في العمل بأجر، زيادة بتسع ساعات في العام 1965. وفي ذات الوقت، أمضين 14 ساعة في الأسبوع في رعاية أطفالهن، بزيادة بـ 10 ساعات في الأسبوع بالمقارنة مع العام 1965.

 

الأسرة أو العمل

بالرغم من ذلك، نجد أن مجموعة الأمهات العاملات في المجال الإعلامي اللواتي اخترن البقاء في المنزل مؤقتاً حتى يتجنبن بعض الخسارات العاطفية، يواجهن العديد من العقبات نتيجة توقفهن عن العمل فترة؛ كقبولهن بمناصب أقل من خبراتهن ليستطعن ردم ثغرة اختفائهن في فترة أمومتهن الأولى.

تقول أمل: "نتيجة توقفي عن العمل لمدة عام ونصف، حين قررت العودة شعرت وكأني عدت من البداية"، وهي تجربة تعيشها العديد من الصحافيات الأمهات في تقبل وضع أقل من إمكانياتهن المهنية بكثير لمجرد دفع ضريبة اختيار التفرغ للأمومة.

العودة للعمل الصحافي في ظل وجود أطفال له صعوبته، التي تحكيها آسيا ثابت، مذيعة برامج سياسية: "زوجي يعمل كمعد نفس البرنامج الذي أقوم بتقديمه، لذا واجهنا صعوبة شديدة في الاعتناء بطفلتنا التي كانت تبلغ من العمر سنتان ونصف حينها، خاصة وبرنامجنا كان يبث ضمن الدوام المسائي. الإدارة كانت متفهمة لوضعي بشكل جيد، فقبلت إحضار ابنتي معي، ولكن ما الذي تصنعه طفلة ذات عامين ونصف بين الأجهزة والشاشات والكاميرات".

تضيف: "كنت أعاني وأنا أراها تميل للعب مع الكبار وتنفر من الأطفال. كنت أشفق عليها وهي تضطر للنوم في عربيتها وتخرج في البرد الشديد للدوام. مرات كثيرة شعرت بالحزن حين نخرج في يوم إجازتنا وأرى طفلتي تستغرب متسائلة لماذا لم نذهب اليوم للقناة؟

وتحكي آسيا عن هذه المعاناة قائلة:  الأمر يزداد صعوبة مع مرور الوقت، فاليوم يبلغ عمر ابنتها 7 سنوات ولم تعد تقبل النوم في القناة في وقت محدد، فللنوم شروط معينة مثل الإضاءة خافتة والهدوء، وهذا ما يضطر والدها لإعادتها للمنزل والبقاء معها حتى تنام.

الصعوبة التي سردتها آسيا، ذكرتها أيضاً مجموعة من الصحافيات العربيات في أغسطس/آب 2017، عندما قامت وكالة أخبار المرأة بتنظيم ندوة إلكترونية ضمن "ملتقى الإعلاميات العربيات" على تطبيق "واتساب"، كانت تلك الندوة الرابعة من نوعها والتي هدفت لمناقشة "الإعلامية بين وظيفتها وحياتها الخاصة، وإلى أيّ مدى يمكنها التوفيق بينهما".

في تلك الندوة تحدثت لبنى ياسين، صحافية سورية، عن تجربتها الشخصية والتي تمثل الروتين اليومي لأغلب الأمهات الصحافيات العربيات، قائلة: "في مرحلة من حياتي لم أستطع الرد على الهاتف أثناء أيام الأسبوع وكانت صديقاتي تتجنبن الاتصال فيما عدا العطلة الأسبوعية لأن جدولي كان ممتلئا عن آخره..

 

عقوبة الامومة

بالرغم من الجهد المتواصل الذي تبذله الآمهات إلا أنهن لا يحصدن على التقدير المناسب أبداً. في مقال نشر العام 2017 تحت عنوان "كيف يمكن للمؤسسة دعم الأباء والأمهات العاملين" للكاتبة دايزي ويدمان دولنغ، تشدد الكاتبة والتي تعمل مدربة ومستشارة لتعزيز أداء الموظفين، على أهمية دور المدير على حياة الموظفين الشخصية لا سيما في بيئات العمل المسببة للضغط.

تصف دايزي بأنه يمكن للمدراء المحنكين مساعدة الموظفين على الشعور بالدعم عبر القيام بفتح الباب لمحادثة جديدة عن طريق طرح سؤال بسيط على غرار كيف حال الأطفال نهاية هذا الأسبوع؟ سيرسل هذا السؤال رسالة كافية أمام الموظفين أن مديرهم مهتم بهم!

لكن وجهة نظر دايزي غير قابلة للتطبيق داخل غرف تحرير وسائل الإعلام بالعالم العربي، حيث تشكي إحدى المحررات بإحدى أهم القنوات الإخبارية العربية، والتي فضلت عدم ذكر اسمها، من عدم اكتراث مديرها بالضغط الذي تتعرض له موظفاته الأمهات رغم أنه متزوج من أم عاملة وبالتأكيد يدرك صعوبة هذه المرحلة.

ليس فقط التقدير المعنوي هو المطلوب من إدارات المؤسسات الإعلامية وإنما توفير مساعدة حقيقية للأمهات تتمثل مثلا في إنشاء دور حضانة داخل المؤسسات الإعلامية، ففي استبيان أجرته صحيفة الشرق القطرية في نوفمبر/تشرين الثاني 2015 على عينة من الأمهات العاملات، أشارت إلى أن 70 في المئة منهن يعانين من إيجاد بديل موثوق لرعاية أطفالهن أثناء ساعات عملهن، و50 في المئة من المواطنات لا يجدن حضانة قريبة من مقر عملهن، في حين أن 97 في المئة يفضلن وجود حضانة بجهة عملهن لضمان رعاية مناسبة لأطفالهن.

وهذا الطلب نصت عليه مواد قانونية في أكثر من بلد عربي تشجع فيها الدولة مع الأجهزة المختصة إنشاء دور الحضانة داخل الوزارات والمؤسسات التي يزيد عدد العاملات الأمهات فيها عن عشرين عاملة لكن التطبيق لهذه المادة القانونية يكاد يكون منعدماً في أغلب البلدان العربية.

تضيف ذات المحررة، أن الأمر يتخطى هذا الطلب الذي بالتأكيد سيواجه باستخفاف من قبل البعض، فبالرغم من المجهود الواضح التي تبذله هي وزميلاتها الأمهات، إلا أنهن لا يحصدن أي تقدير مقابل ما يناله زملائهن الرجال في غرف التحرير.

والأمر ينطبق على باقي دول العالم، فوفقًا لتقرير صادر عن المركز الإعلامي للمرأة،  فإنه من غير المحتمل أن يرى المشاهدون مراسلات ينقلن الأخبار اليوم عما كان عليه قبل بضع سنوات فقط في الشبكات الثلاث الأميركية الكبرى - ABC و CBS و NBC - مجتمعة، حيث كان الصحافيون الرجال مسؤولون عن 75 في المئة من نشرات الأخبار المسائية على مدى ثلاثة أشهر في عام 2016،  بينما كانت الإعلاميات مسؤولات عن 25 في المئة فقط ، وهذه النسبة ظلت تمثل انخفاضاً بنسبة 32 في المئة خلال الاعوام 2015 و2014.

"من الطبيعي أن تشهد هذه النسبة انخفاضاً دولياً وعربياً بشكل أكبر، لأنه بدلاً من أن تقّدر إدارات المؤسسات الإعلاميات كافة الجهود التي تقوم بها الصحافيات خاصة الأمهات منهن تتم معاملتنا بأن الزواج والأمومة يشكل عائقا أمام عملنا" تقول نفس المحررة.

في مقال جوليانا غولدمان المشار إليه سابقا، تسلط الضوء على التحيز الذي يمارس ضد الأمهات أو ما وصفته بعقوبة الأمومة. عندما ينظر أصحاب العمل المحتملين إلى السيرة الذاتية للصحافية ويرون إشارات على أن المرأة أم، يقل احتمال حصولها على وظيفة. بل ويتسرب التحيز إلى تقييمات مكان العمل أيضًا. على سبيل المثال، عندما تتأخر الأمهات عن العمل، يُحكم عليهن بقسوة أكثر من النساء اللواتي ليس لديهن أطفال.

تسرد جوليانا تجربتها الشخصية أثناء عملها مع شبكة CBS بالإضافة إلى تجربة 13 زميلة تعمل في المجال الاعلامي، ذاكرة مثالاً عن عامل المظهر. حيث تفيد أقوال العديد من مراسلات الشبكة الحاليات والسابقات كيف أن رؤساءهم علقوا على مظهرهن أثناء الحمل؛ بل واقترح بعضهم ضرورة أن يفقدن بعض الوزن.

أمل، شددت على هذه النقطة قائلة: "من التحديات التي واجهتها كأم كان فقدان الوزن الزائد بحكم طبيعة عملي أمام الشاشة".

زميلة، فضلت هي الأخرى عدم ذكر اسمها، قالت "أصبحت أعمل جاهدة على أن أزيح عن عاتقي تهمة أني أصبحت أم أكثر من التركيز على عملي!" وتعلل ذلك بقولها "بمجرد أن تصبحي أم إذا أنت مراقبة وينتظر منك الخطأ، مما يدفعنا للعمل أكثر من زملائنا فقط لدفع التهمة هذه عنا، والأدهى أن يتم تجريدك من بعض المهام فقط لأن الإدارة تعتبر أمومتك أصبحت عائقا أمام عملك، أنت أم إذا أنت غير قادرة على تنفيذ المهام الصعبة".

 

الإرهاق

سكوت ريناردي، أستاذ الصحافة في جامعة كانساس، كان يدرس معدلات الإرهاق في غرف الأخبار في جميع أنحاء الولايات الأميركية ووجد أن الأرقام أعلى بالنسبة للنساء.

ففي دراسة أصدرها عام 2015 وكانت تكرارا لدراسة مماثلة قام بها في عام 2009، أظهرت الدراستان أن اتجاه النساء اللواتي يعانين من الإرهاق ويعتزمن مغادرة المجال الصحافي آخذ في الازدياد. في دراسة عام 2009، قالت 62 في المائة من النساء إنهن إما ينوين ترك الصحافة أو  غير متأكدات من مستقبلهن. في حين أظهرت دراسة عام 2015 أن هذا الرقم بلغ 67 بالمئة.

صحيح أن الأمهات يواجهن ضغوطات تتعدى تلك الطبيعية نتيجة شغفهن وتمسكهن بمهنة المتاعب، فأن تكون صحافية لهو شيء، وأن تكون "ماما صحافية" لهو شيء آخر تماماً له لذته على كل حال.
